On June 13, 2017, the Farmers Cooperative dedicated the new Frankfort, KS Shuttle Facility. Kelly-Hill Company constructed 11,300 track feet of rail with four No. 11 switches at this facility, which is served by Union Pacific Railroad. Congratulations to the members of the Farmers Cooperative who have more access to rail in the Frankfort, KS area.




Kelly-Hill Company constructed 2,200 track feet of rail with one switch and one derail at the Port of Kansas City – Woodswether Terminal. This new transload facility serves Union Pacific Railroad and local businesses wanting to take advantage of shipping by rail. Port of Kansas City held a ribbon cutting on June 9, 2017 to celebrate the opening of the rail line.
We were proud to play in TranSystems‘ annual charity golf tournament on May 5, 2017 that benefited Racing For Kids, a group that uses the popularity of motorsports to bring awareness and funding to child health institutions around the world.

Kelly-Hill Company completed some rehabilitation work on the Kansas City Zoo train tracks, which carries patrons on a train throughout the Zoo property. The project included removing and replacing approximately 330 linear feet of 20# curve rail on the high side of the track. We manually lined and leveled the tracks in this area and on 520 track feet at a secondary location. Lining and leveling ensures a safe and smooth ride.







We may have won the Silver Level Safe Contractor of the Year 2016 award earlier this year, but the plaque has just arrived at Kelly-Hill Company’s office. Last month our Director of Business Operations and Marketing, Michael Steele, accepted our First Place Award in the Subcontracting Division 150,001-300,000 work hours by The Builders’ Association. We’re honored to accept this safety excellence award.
