Kelly-Hill Company Supports Race 4 Domestic Violence Prevention

We are proud to be a sponsor of the 2nd Annual Race 4 Domestic Violence Prevention 5K, held in Kansas City, KS on May 2. This non-profit is a resource for local community outreach, awareness and education on domestic violence prevention. There are many great organizations around the community that help interact with domestic violence victims and their families directly. Race 4 Domestic Violence Prevention helps support these organizations with education and funding. This is why we’re a sponsor of this fundraising 5K.

 

Community involvement is important to Kelly-Hill Company. We feel it’s vital to give back and be a good steward to our Kansas City community. If you’re in the area, please join us and sign up for the 5K at Wyandotte County Park in Kansas City, KS.

Kelly-Hill Company Project Wins Award

This month, the Kansas City Industrial Council (KCIC) awarded the KCT Railway team a Brick-by-Brick award at their annual reception, this year held at Boulevard Brewery. The awards recognize contributions to improving the economy in Kansas City’s industrial areas using the following considerations: capital improvement, job creation, improved infrastructure, or relocation or expansion. The improved infrastructure project, known as “Incline,” was completed on KCT Railway property in partnership with the City of Kansas City, MO. The team included us, retaining wall contractor Clarkson Construction, and designer TranSystems. The Incline project replaced a failing retaining wall, improved drainage to alleviate flooding in the West Bottoms and relocated 3,000 track feet on two adjacent freight rail main lines. Congrats to the team!
